Catching Up With Lots of Pics!

We have kept busy the past few months...here are lots of pictures of what we have been up to...

September and October

The kids had lots of fun at the Pumpkin patch. Nolan got to

feed some Goats, went on a hayride, hay maze and played some games.

We are really enjoying the nice fall weather!

Alaina and Nolan having lots of fun together.

They both light up when they see each other.

Alaina is starting to sit up on her own! She is very determined
and is ready to be a little more independent. She also loves
playing with all of her toys and sucking on them since she is teething.
She did pop her first tooth on Oct.16th! She is pretty happy considering
the teeth that are trying to come through. She also rolls over and loves it!

Again, best buds! On our way to University Park for the Buddy Walk.

Enjoying one of our last warm days in September. This was also

Alaina's first time sitting like a big girl in the stroller. She loved it

and Nolan thinks it's fun to have her out of her car seat so he can see her.

I just had to put this one up.

Alaina's first Potato Bowl Parade. She also turned

4 months this day (Sept. 24th).

Alaina and Nolan with Uncle Jake and Krissy on Alaina's Baptism day.

Jake left a week later to play hockey in Colorado for the season, so we

are missing him lots.

Alaina's Baptism. September 18th. She did great!

Alaina with her Godparents. Casey, Jordon and Jenna

Our beautiful girl! She wore my Baptism gown and looked so sweet in it.

Precious Child of God. I just loved her in this gown.

We were so happy to have been able to celebrate with lots of family!

Nolan working on his last few teeth and Alaina just starting.

Those fingers sure feel good on those teeth. At least Nolan doesn't drool!

Alaina's first cereal. She wasn't sure at first, but learned to like it.

Now we have added some veggies and she is in heaven.

Nolan wasn't doing so great in his toddler bed and was still wanting to come

in to our bed, so we brought up his own "big" bed and is doing much better.

Nolan even got to drive the boat!

Wow! Summer has gone by way too fast. I am already back at work and Nolan and Alaina started up daycare. It is so much harder to leave 2 kids, but they both are doing well at daycare. We had such a great summer together. Nolan celebrated his 2nd birthday on August 21st, so Danny and I took him to Turtle River to enjoy the day with him. We did have a birthday party for him the Friday before, but my poor guys was not feeling well at all and didn't really get to enjoy his big day, but I am pretty sure the rest of the kids had fun! Some new things going on with Nolan are...he officially moved up to his toddler bed and he loves it, he is great with directions and knows (somewhat) how to get to our house, my moms and dan's parents', he knows the difference between his left hand and right hand, he is going pee pee in the potty, he loves playing softball in the backyard and playing catch, he loves Shrek and Toy Story, I am pretty sure he got all of his 2 year molars (he won't really let me check to make sure), and he is just overall the happiest little guy ever. Alaina is growing at a rapid pace and to put it nicely...is chubby! We have decided that chubby babies are happy babies because she is the best baby ever. She could sleep a little better at night, but she just wants to eat! She is holding her head up great, acts like she wants to sit up, she is smiling all the time, loves when I sing to her, she loves to be on her changing table, she likes watching Mickey with Nolan, she loves Nolan, loves her baths, and is "talking" lots. We are so blessed to have both of them in our lives.

Nolan's first Movie!

Nolan's favorite part of the movie...popcorn!

In front of the Big Screen

Just about to go in!

Nolan loves to take pictures with Alaina

...And of just himself too!

Yep! Nolan went to his first movie...Whinnie the Pooh. My mom insisted on taking him, even though I didn't think he would last through the movie, but he did!! My cousins Jordon and Sydney went along as well. Nolan especially enjoyed the popcorn and as you can see from the picture, my mom did not skimp on that!

Busy Busy

Usually pretty happy in the morning!

Nolan loves doing EVERYTHING with Daddy

1 Month

This is usually how I will find Nolan when Alaina is awake

and on the couch.

Where to begin...Alaina turned 1 month on June 24th and is already going to be turning 2 months in 10 more days! My maternity leave is already more than half over and I go back to work August 17th :( I'm not sure what I will do without my kids all day. Alaina has been such a blessing and an amazing addition to our family. We could not have a happier baby. She is so smiley and happy all the time and she is "talking" more and more everyday. She enjoys our daily walks, being outside, being in the tub, running around town with her mom, laying on her back and kicking and she truly loves Nolan...and Bauer too. She grins ear to ear when she sees them. Nolan has been a great big brother. I'm not sure a little boy could love a sister as much as Nolan loves Alaina. He really loves kissing and hugging her and at times tries (and has once) picking her up. He really wants to feed her the "baba" and hold her all the time. It is funny to hear him talk to her as he mimics the way we talk to her. He is also going through a very lovey dovey stage and is always giving us hugs and kisses and is always saying "love ya mom or love ya dad". I am eating it up because I know it won't last long. He wants to snuggle all the time too...he is so sweet (well most of the time). We have enjoyed our nice warm days at the splash park and pool. Nolan has the most fun at the splash park when it is spur of the moment in his dry clothes! Nolan and Daddy spent the 4th of July at the lake and Alaina and I had a nice, quiet girls weekend. Alaina's first trip to the lake will be coming up next weekend! I could go on and on about these kids and how great our summer has been. Hope everyone else is enjoying theirs! A quick thank you to Kathy Holm for being such a faithful follower. We are glad you enjoy our blog :) At least I know someone is reading it! Take care.

Finally out of her blanket to kick and stretch

Yes it is true, Alaina Mae is finally here! Alaina Mae Marto was born on Tuesday, May 24th at 7:39am, weighing 8lbs 0.30z and was 20.5inches long. We are so happy to say that she is beautiful and healthy. We could not ask for more. It was a long few days to get her here, but she came out safe and sound. Long story short, Dan and I went in to the hospital Sunday night to get induced, but my body did not want to progress and Alaina could not tolerate the pitocin, so finally on Tuesday morning I had and urgent C-section and she was out in a flash. The hardest part about having a c-section is the weight and activity restrictions. It is killing me to not be able to hold and play with Nolan. I hope after my 2 week check-up they will give me the okay to at least pick him up! Being at home as a family has been so great. Nolan is adjusting to having a new sister very well. He likes to kiss her and really wants to "help" feed her. We feel like the luckiest people in the world right now. Everyone is happy and healthy and we are sitting on Cloud 9. Enjoy some pictures of our new addition!
