5 weeks!

This was kind of a tough week for Nolan. He was extremely fussy and would hardly let me put him down all day long and would hardly sleep. He fought the bottle and would wake up screaming after I would lay him down. I wasn't sure if he had acid reflux or maybe a milk allergy to his formula. I decided to try a soy formula first to see how he reacted to it. So far he seems to like it and does not fight with me at feedings. For the first time in over a week Nolan finally took good naps yesterday! I am hoping it is more than just a coincidence. I am a little hesitant to write this but since Wednesday Nolan has slept through the night! I thought at first it was because he was up all day and just overly tired, but he slept all night last night even after a good nap day! I hope it continues and I didn't just jinx myself. Hopefully I can get a few things done this week if he continues to nap! Danny went to the lake this weekend to take the dock out, so it was my first weekend alone with Nolan and Bauer. I did however have my mom spend the night just to feel better about the situation, and with the week we had I wanted someone to be there in case of screaming episodes that lasted forever. The night went really well (aside from Nolan deciding not to go to bed until midnight) and I think I will try it on my own next time! I forgot to post a picture from Nolan's baptism....we got all 6 of my grandma Mary's great-grand boys together so I have to share it with everyone...it is pretty priceless.

Nolan is starting to smile when we talk to him. It is so fun to see!
I am not sure who is reading to Nolan...Danny or Bauer!
I love this one! Nolan loves his bath time
I can hardly believe he is a month old already!

4 weeks and Baptism!

We all had a very big week! Thursday Nolan was able to attend one his baby showers, where he got lots of great things and met a lot of new great friends. I think everyone got a chance to hold him and he did so great. Friday, Danny and I thought it would be nice to celebrate our anniversary with a night out together and an uninterrupted night of sleep, so Nolan got to spend the night at his grandma and grandpa Marto's. I of course had a really hard time, but I went through with it...Danny didn't think I could! Of course that night we ended up getting up with Bauer who decided to run hot laps in the backyard for almost an hour, so our plan of uninterrupted sleep didn't work out as we planned. Then, Sunday was our one year anniversary and Nolan's baptism. He did really good and slept almost the whole time. The first ten minutes of the service he decided to scream, but we calmed him down thank goodness. Nolan is also getting his one month pictures tomorrow on his one month birthday! This month has gone by way too fast, but it has been a blessing. I hope you enjoy the many pics this week...I just can't decide which ones to post, so I post lots!

Cousins

I just had to post this picture of Nolan with his cousin Kyler! Kyler is a little over 4 months older than Nolan, so hopefully they will be good buddies as they grow up together. It is so funny to think Nolan will be this big in a few months. Although, Kyler is somewhere in the 90th percentile, so Nolan probably won't be quite so big, but you never know! Nolan and I have gone over to Kyler's house to visit him, his mom Sara and his brothers Luc and Rylan a few times already, so they are starting to get to know each other! Before we know it they will be running around together; it should be fun!

Getting Bigger!

Nolan had his 3 week appointment this past Friday and has now surpassed his birth weight! He is now at a healthy 8lbs 13.7oz (I just noticed that on his picture on put 13.170z...oops) The appointment went good and Nolan is at the 50th percentile for everything. We also stopped by my work before his appointment so I could show him off a bit. He met quite a few people that day and was soooo good the whole time we were at the hospital! He continues to be a good sleeper and is up around the same time everynight, so he is on a pretty good schedule and is getting more and more predictable. Next Sunday is mine and Danny's one year anniversary and it is also the day we chose for Nolan's baptism, so it will be an extra special day and we are looking forward to it!

A Whole 2 Weeks

Nolan is 2 weeks! Everyday is getting easier for all of us, as we get to know Nolan and all of his needs. The first week on my own went pretty well. Nolan, Bauer and I were able to enjoy the weather and went on a few walks together. Nolan really enjoys being in his stroller, so that makes things easier for us. We went in the car a few times to go to the bank and to see Nolan's great grandma Mary. As you can see Nolan also enjoyed playing football on the Xbox with his daddy, and tried out his carrier that he is too small for! We can tell that life is changing with a baby since one of our other excitements is a poopy diaper! Nolan is learning more about his anatomy and how to work it! Danny and I will be enjoying a date tonight while my mom comes to watch Nolan. As much as we love our little man, I know we will look forward to our dates and alone time. As for me, I am continuing to heal and starting to feel better everyday. I completely forgot how "skinny" my ankles and feet were...I have them back! Also, my ring fits now! I hope the rest of my body continues to shrink in the same way (with lots of hard work, I know!) Life is Good!
