1 week old!

This week has flown by and we are all still alive!! There of course have been ups and downs, but overall we are all adjusting well. We are very lucky that Nolan is a good baby (and healthy too!). He pretty much just cries when he is hungry! Danny, Nolan and Bauer and I have been able to go on a few walks this week. Also, Danny and I go to go out to dinner last night while Grandma Priscilla baby-sat. It was nice for the two of us to get out of the house together. Danny is going back to work on Monday, so it will be another intersting week without him. Overall things are good and we could not be happier. I guess there isn't much else to say about a 1 week old, except that he eats and sleeps (and cries occasionally).

More Pictures

Nolan is finally here!!!

WOW! What a week! We are so happy to announce that we have a happy, healthy baby boy. Nolan Clifford Marto was born on Friday August 21st at 6:30 AM he was 8# 1.9oz and 22 inches long. It was a very long 2 days trying to get him here, but so worth it! Danny and I are slowly easing into parenthood, with very little sleep of course. We got to come home on Sunday afternoon and I feel like I have not had a second to do anything since then! I am so thankful for Danny. Not only is he already such an amazing father; I am reminded why I married him with this whole new chapter. He has been doing everything around the house, taking care of me, making supper, and much more. Not to mention he was the most incredible labor coach and was by my side every second. It's too bad he didn't go to nursing school, because he would make a great nurse...he got lots of experience just taking care of me in the hospital! I am the luckiest person in the world to have him and now a healthy son...and of course Bauer too!
Nolan has been so great. He is keeping us very busy, but I think we are all starting to figure each other out. He had his first appointment today and was great. He only cried when he had to be checked, and got weighed. We are now a little more confident to bring him out and about. He does thankfully like the car and his pacifier! Overall we are all doing well and could not be happier. Here are some pics of Nolan...enjoy!

No luck!

Today was a little bit of a disappointing day. We went into the hospital this morning to get a cervical treatment to help soften my cervix and to hopefully put me into labor. This did not work like I hoped, but it did progress me a centimeter and it is giving me regular contractions. Since I am not crying out in pain with the contractions and not progressing enough to get pitocin, they sent me home. So now we are home relaxing...me kind of with contractions. We are scheduled to go in to the hospital again tomorrow for another treatment, but who knows things could go on their own before then! We will keep everyone posted.

Overdue :(

Today we are officially past our due date. Yesterday the 15th was our due date...but no baby. We are getting so anxious to meet this little guy. We have an appointment tomorrow for a non stress test, which is done for everyone that is past thier due date to make sure baby is not under any stress. I will also recieve a cervical treatment that is used to help induce labor...so hopefully that helps! If no baby by Thursday the 20th we should be going in for an induction. Either way we will have a baby by next weekend! It's hard to believe that Danny and I just spent our last weekend alone. From here on out our weekends will not be as relaxing, but much more entertaining/eventful I guess.

Baby Marto Almost here!!

I decided to create this blog so everyone can keep track of our new addition! We are less than 2 weeks away from meeting our little man and can hardly wait. The anticipation of how it will happen is killing me. Danny of course is calm and collected as usual...just excited and ready! We hope you visit this page often to see our family grow. Hope you enjoy our updates and pictures of our growing family!
